Engines and gearboxes are heavy, valuable machinery, they ship as insured freight, not parcels. Here is exactly how Tovesageneral Motors LLC gets your drivetrain to your door.

1. Crating & insurance

Every unit is secured inside a reusable steel or reinforced wooden crate with custom blocking, moisture barrier, and shock indicators. All shipments are fully insured for the purchase price. Please photograph the crate on arrival before signing.

2. Freight rates

Standard freight within the 48 contiguous states is a flat $149 per order. Orders totaling $2,500 or more ship freight-free. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, and international destinations, are quoted individually, contact us before ordering.

3. Handling & transit times

Typical timelines from confirmed order:

  • Handling: 2-3 business days for final bench checks and crating.
  • Transit: 3-7 business days to the lower 48 states.
  • Total door-to-door: typically 5-10 business days. Rural and liftgate addresses may add 1-3 days.

4. Delivery requirements

Freight deliveries are curbside by default; liftgate service is available on request at no charge for residential addresses. The driver will call to schedule a delivery window, someone 18+ must be present to sign. Inspect the crate for shock-indicator activation or damage; note any damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it before opening.

5. Tracking

You will receive your carrier PRO tracking number by email within 48 hours of order confirmation, plus live tracking once the crate is collected. Orders are also visible anytime from your account page.

6. Delivery issues

If your crate arrives damaged, do not refuse, accept it, note damage on the receipt, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all carrier claims directly and will repair, replace, or refund the affected unit promptly.
